Bournemouth University is in the heart of the tourist town and only two hours from London via train. Originally founded in 1976, it wasn't until 1992 that the institution became known as it is today. With two campuses in both Bournemouth and Poole, it has a league table ranking of 54.

The student union at Bournemouth University offers a nightclub, bars and shops with over 100 clubs and societies, including a student magazine, radio and television. The union’s boat club was awarded best student sports club at the annual NUS awards 2014.
Sport is a big factor at Bournemouth University with a state of the art gym, 60 fitness stations and spin studio being amongst the facilities. Students can take part in a range of activities from yoga to boxercise.
Accommodation is guaranteed for all new undergraduate students who have selected BU as their firm choice and submitted their UCAS application by 15 January (UK/EU students) or 30 June (non-EU students). Prices range between £89 per week for a room and £194 per week for catered accommodation.
