Brunel University London is based in Uxbridge, West London, and was founded in 1966. It is home to over 15,000 students from over 100 countries around the world.
The University is split up into 3 academic colleges. These colleges are:
- College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences
- College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences
- College of Health & Life Sciences
Brunel has a worldwide reputation for excellence of teaching and in 2013 the Business School won the THE Business School of the Year award. Furthermore, the University was recently ranked 53rd in the Guardian University League Tables 2016.
The University is campus based, with the main site being located just a 20 minute walk away from the town centre of Uxbridge. On campus students will find student accommodation, a library, a computer centre, academic buildings, catering, and social facilities. Other amenities on site include a doctor’s surgery and pharmacy, a bank, grocery shops, and the students union.
The students union at Brunel are also responsible for running two bars and a nightclub providing social facilities for students. Students can also benefit from an onsite sports centre, a spa, and a running track.
