London South Bank University, LSBU - is considered a new university due to only gaining its official university status in 1992. The institution is based in Southwark, London near the South Bank of the River Thames. Today the university has almost 20,000 students, of which 15,000 are undergraduates.

The university is home to a wide range of courses that are organised into 7 academic schools. These schools are:

On site you will find the Academy of Sports which offers its facilities to all students, at any sporting level. There is a sports centre with a range of fitness classes and varied sports clubs. The gym features a fitness suite with 40 exercise stations, a functional training zone, free weights room, and a sports hall.

LSBU offers its first year students accommodation in one of their four halls of residences with en-suite rooms and self catering facilities. The halls of residence are based off campus, within a short walk away from the campus in Elephant and Castle. Due to the location of the university, living costs are generally higher, with rent starting at around £120 per week.
