Queen Mary University London has a main campus located in the East End of London and other smaller campuses based in Holborn, Smithfield and Whitechapel. The University is home to around 17,000 full-time students, and has most recently been ranked joint 38th in the Guardian University League Tables 2016.
The University is organised into three faculties, which are further broken down into schools, institutes and departments.
The three faculties are:
- Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
- Faculty of Science and Engineering
The student’s union (QMSU) operate many of the student facilities on the campuses at Queen Mary University, as well as offering over 190 clubs and societies ranging from sports to theatre. There is a new state-of-the-art health and fitness centre, QMotion on campus, with a cardio zone, stretching areas, weights, studios, squash courts and a sports hall.
The university owns a student village based on the Mile End campus, with over 2,000 rooms available. There are also further student halls at the Whitechapel campus, which are ideal for students wishing to study medicine and dentistry.
