Robert Gordon University was founded in 1992 and has more recently been ranked 46th in the UK by the Guardian University League Tables 2016. In 2013 the University was named the best UK university for graduate employment, with over 97% of graduates being employed after six months of graduating.
The University is split up into three faculties, which are further organised into schools and departments. These faculties are:
- Aberdeen Business School
- Faculty of Design & Technology
- Faculty of Health & Social Care
The University is campus based and on the main site, Garthdee, students will find facilities for living, teaching and socialising. The campus re-opened in 2013 after undergoing a big redevelopment, with £120 million spent on state of the art facilities.
Students can expect to spend between £100 and £148 per week for accommodation throughout the academic year, providing they are intending to live in halls of residences. The University have halls of residences both on campus and in the city centre, with an array of rooms with different facilities, for example, en-suite rooms.
Robert Gordon is home to almost 60 clubs and societies, with some of the sports clubs taking part in the national BUCS league.
