Entry Requirements For This Course

Applicants from a UK educational background:

120 UCAS points from A-levels, of which no morethan 12 points should come from AS-levels.

We also accept equivalent qualifications, including:

  • BTEC/National Diploma
  • CACHE Level 3 diploma
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Advanced and Progression Diplomas
  • Access courses.

At least three GCSEs including English language and mathematics with a minimum of grade C or recognised equivalent are also required.

Applicants from a non-UK educational background:

Furtherto showing equivalent qualifications to UK applicants, international applicants must have successfully completed 11 or 12 years of full time education, and demonstrated competence in English and mathematics equivalent to GCSE grade C. 

If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill) or equivalent. If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.

  • Provide recent evidence of 20 days' experience of caring or supporting vulnerablepeople in a working or voluntary capacity. This mightbe combined with caring in a personal capacity.This must be discussed and reflected upon in your personal statement

  • Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service checkoccupational health screening and meet residential regulations
  • Provide a current, valid passport on the day, if invited to a selection day.
