Entry Requirements For This Course

Applicants from a UK educational background:

104 UCAS tariff points from A-levels, of which no more than 10 UCAS tariff points should come from AS-levels.

We also accept equivalent qualifications, including:

  • BTEC/National Diploma
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Advanced and Progression Diplomas
  • Access courses.

Plus at least three GCSEs including English language and mathematics with a minimum of grade C or recognised equivalent.

Applicants from a non-UK educational background:

Furtherto showing equivalent qualifications to UK applicants, international applicants must have successfully completed 11 or 12 years of full time education, and demonstrated competence in mathematics equivalent to GCSE grade C. 

If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent. If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.

If you are planning to undertake Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in the third year of the BA Hons Early Years, the following will be required before commencing your third year:

  • GCSE English, maths and science with a minimum of grade C or recognised equivalent before commencing your third year
  • Attending an interview
  • Passing Professional Skills tests in numeracy and literacy
  • Undergoing a Disclosure and Barring Service check and an occupational health screening.
