Located in Plymouth, South West England, the University of St Mark and St John was founded in 1840, becoming a university in 2007. It has a league table ranking of 112.
Over 2,700 students are enrolled on variety of courses, such as business management, English and creative writing, nutrition, psychology and sociology. The University has three faculties.
The three faculties are:
- Faculty of Education and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences
- Faculty of Language and Creative Industries

The facilities at the University of St Mark and St John include a sports centre complete with 25m swimming pool, dance studio, fitness suite, outdoor pitches, sports science laboratory and 12 courts.
The University provides 456 student rooms in halls of residence and village houses to first year undergraduates with several options available, including catered, en-suite and single self-catering rooms. Prices range from £85 per week to £110 per week.
