Youth and Community Studies with Foundation Year BA (Hons)

Please note that this course is Subject to Validation.

The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree.

Our BA (Hons) in Law is designed for students who may not wish to pursue a professional legal career, but have an interest in a career in law and/or looking to apply knowledge in another area of business or service provision.

You will integrate applied work-based and skills-based modules that will help allow you to prepare practically as well as academically for a successful career, both within and outside of the legal professions.

We will help you build up your legal knowledge and commercial awareness, and gain a wide range of transferable skills, such as abstract thinking and practical problem-solving, which are relevant to a wide range of related careers.

You’re a people person. You want to engage community groups in life-enhancing projects. Or maybe you have plans to help young people who might not have anyone else to turn to. But how do you start?

This course gives you a broad experience of youth and community work to help you find your own route to a rewarding career. With an equal mix of academic and practical work, you’ll have a solid understanding of current issues and the skills to make a difference.
