The Department also offers a research preparation masters course in the Records Management area. It is aimed at those students who are considering pursuing a research degree afterwards. Students will study modules that cover the legal and ethical aspects of handling and storing research data, with a strong emphasis on current policies and practices in manual and digital records that will be of interest to researchers and historians. In tandem with this, students will study modules that provide knowledge of research design, qualitative and quantitative research approaches as well as evaluation methodologies.
