All Master’s programmes in the Department of International Politics are divided into Part One (coursework and exams) and Part Two (dissertation); the dissertation is completed from June to the end of September. The method of teaching in all the programmes is by seminar only. Although the Master’s students may attend lectures on undergraduate modules if they wish, the Master’s programmes are completely independent from our undergraduate programmes. Our Master’s courses are suitable for students who want either to consolidate their undergraduate qualifications or to convert from related disciplines. This programme offers specialist (S) and research training (RT) pathways.
