Postcolonial Politics MSc(Econ)
The continued expansion of our taught Master’s programmes – in terms of the number of courses and options offered - is a vital part of the Department’s mission to maintain excellence in teaching and research. We believe that throughout the expansion in provision we have managed to maintain a friendly and sociable atmosphere. Master’s students are encouraged to attend seminars given by outside speakers as well as the various Research Groups.

We believe that the facilities for Master’s students in the Department are amongst the best offered by any other International Politics department in the UK. Students have use of a master’s resources room in the Department’s new building which is designed for independent or small group study and includes networked computing facilities, and also use of the Department’s postgraduate common room. Students also have access to excellent University-wide computing facilities and have a photocopying allowance. The Department’s commitment to its Master’s programme is reflected in the fact that we offer a number of bursaries each year worth £1,000 each.
