Advanced Materials and Additive Manufacturing MSc

Additive manufacturing is an emerging advanced manufacture technology, sometimes referred to as 3D printing. Derby and the East Midlands are dominated by employment in advanced engineering and related industries, but there is a global lack of specialised graduates who can work in supply chain companies.

This Masters in Advanced Materials and Additive Manufacturing programme, accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM³), is designed for both engineering graduates and as a conversion programme for students who have qualifications in other analytical disciplines such as physics or geology, enabling them to transition to careers in advanced manufacturing and other high-tech industries.
