Glyndwr University is one of the youngest institutions in the UK, having only gained full university status in 2008. The University dates back to 1887, when it was formally named Wrexham School of Science and Art. The University has 3 campuses in North East Wales and two further campuses in London and Broughton.

The Student’s Guild are responsible for the student nights and entertainment on campus and run the Centenary Club in the Racecourse Stadium. Located right by the student accommodation, The Cent is the University’s official student bar and features plasma screen TV’s, pool tables, free wi-fi and regularly hosts DJs and comedy acts on their stage.
At the Wrexham Campus there is a range of accommodation options available for first year students, including the Student Village, Wrexham Student Village, Corbishley Hall and privately managed properties. Wrexham Village is the biggest halls of residence with over 300 en suite study bedrooms, split into 6,7 or 8 bedroom flats. Students will be a 2 minute walk from the town as well as the campus, and will have all bills and rent included for £95 per week.
