University of Suffolk

The University of Suffolk opened its doors in 2007 and gained university title in 2016. The University has over 5,000 students, representing over 68 different nationalities, and university prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and being a 'home away from home' where students are on first name terms with their tutors.

The University has already been recognised for its teaching, holding a TEF Bronze award status, and was ranked in the top 10 for Courses and Lecturers, top 15 for Job Prospects and top 20 for Student Support in the Whatuni Student Rankings 2019.

Students have the choice of studying a wide range of subjects at Suffolk, with academic teaching based around four academic schools:

  • The School of Engineering, Arts, Science and Technology 
  • The School of Health and Sports Sciences 
  • The School of Social Sciences and Humanities 
  • The Suffolk Business School

Students enjoy studying in Suffolk as the County has so much to offer. As well as being close to the sea, The Ipswich Waterfront is just an hour's train ride away from London. There are also plenty of shops, bars and pubs to explore, and the annual Latitude and Pulse festivals in Suffolk.
