How will I be taught and assessed?

This programme has been designed to cultivate the ethos of an engaging and inclusive learning community that is responsive to different learning styles and allows you to develop to your full potential. This is partially achieved through the arrangement of numerous events and opportunities each semester beyond the taught modules to engage with, which include academic, policy and practitioner events and issues explored through invited speakers, seminars, workshops, activities and conferences, both off and on-campus.

An applied approach to lecturing is used, with lectures interspersed with seminars and workshops. A multitude of industry norm exercises are incorporated into the modules, where both student and lecturer lead seminars are utilised, current and topical case study analysis is explored, group activities such as those seen in assessment centres and away days are woven into the fabric of modules, debates on contemporary issues facilitated, and a strong focus on own ownership of learners’ independent learning promoted.

Entry Requirements For This Course

To apply, you'll need either an honours degree (or equivalent) or a CIPD level 5 qualification. As we accept applications on an individual basis, we also look at your experience in HR as this can be just as valuable as a degree.

We also interview applicants as part of our admissions. Interviews help us gauge who you are as a person as well as a prospective student. If your first language is not English or your language of instruction at undergraduate level was not English you be required to demonstrate English proficiency at a score of IELTS level 6.5 or its equivalent.
