Canterbury Christ Church University

Canterbury Christ Church University is situated in Canterbury, Kent. It was originally founded in 1962 and gained full university status in 2005. Today it has a league table ranking of 101, joint with the University of Westminster, according to the Guardian 2016 University League Tables.

The University boasts over 17,000 students and offers courses, such as applied criminology, graphic design, integrated science, marketing and nursing studies. Courses are divided into four faculties.

The four faculties are;

  • Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Health and Wellbeing
  • Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences

Canterbury Christ Church University has a student’s union showcasing events throughout the year, including the famous summer ball with well-known music guests, over 100 cubs and societies to partake in and a student radio station.

With a state of the art sports centre, Canterbury Christ Church University provides a fitness suite, exercise studio, analysis rooms, with playing fields and sea sports centre situated nearby.

The University offers accommodation for first year undergraduates, with a variety of halls available, providing shared or en-suite facilities. Housing is also available in Canterbury. Prices suit a range of budgets with prices starting from £91 per week for a small, standard room to £180 per week for a studio flat.
