Over the last ten years we've invested £200 million in facilities in our City and Coach Lane Campuses and we are now investing a further £52 million in our City Campus.

Emphasis on employability
At Northumbria we work with major employers, including Nike, IBM, Nissan, Proctor & Gamble, the BBC, and the NHS, while more than 560 employers and 60 professional bodies sponsor or accredit our courses.
Northumbria is ranked in the UK top ten for the number of graduates in professional or managerial roles and 97% of postgraduates are in work or further study within six months of graduation (DLHE 2015/16). Innovative and entrepreneurial, we are also ranked third in the UK for graduate business start-ups (based on estimated turnover and number of jobs created, HEBCIS 2014/15).
Outstanding student experience
Northumbria is based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne which is regularly voted the best student city in the UK. One in six people in Newcastle is a student and the city offers excellent value for money, being ranked the 3rd most cost-effective UK city for students in the Royal Bank of Scotland Student Living Index 2016.
Our cosmopolitan campus attracts students from 140 different countries, and we've always been proud of the fact that Northumbria is more than just a place where you study for a degree.
The Students' Union offers a great social scene at the heart of our City Campus. The Union building features three award-winning bars and it’s the venue for some of the biggest club nights and gigs in Newcastle.
