Entry Requirements For This Course

UCAS - 120 points.

GCE A Level - 120 UCAS points from GCE A Levels or equivalent. Typical offer - BBC/BBB. GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C or above are also required.

BTEC - BTEC Extended Diploma (Sport and Exercise Sciences, Sport Development or Applied Science): DDM. BTEC Diploma (Sport and Exercise Sciences, Sport Development or Applied Science): D*D*.

Irish/Scottish Highers - BBBB, including PE, Biology or a Science-related subject.

International Baccalaureate - 28 points, including 5 in HL Biology.

Access requirements - Access to HE Diploma (Sports Science or Science) to include 45 credits at level 3, 30 of which must be at Merit.

Extra Information / General Entry Requirements - Please note that we accept a maximum of 8 UCAS points from GCE AS Levels and that the Welsh Baccalaureate (core) and A Level General Studies will be recognised in our offer. We will also consider a combination of A Levels and BTECs/OCRs. GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C or above are also required.

Furthermore, students will be expected to have spent some time within a PE department in order to gain experience (a minimum of 5 working days), or demonstrate a strong desire to do so.

Leadership and/or coaching qualifications, as well as examples of actual coaching and leadership experience would also be desirable.

Successful applicants will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a Declaration of Health form.

Prior to admission to this course, you will be required to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check through the University, for which there will be charge.
