The University of Dundee was established in 1881 and focuses on teaching traditional and professional degrees using innovative approaches. We are one of the UK's top 20 universities (Guardian University Guide 2021) and we have some of the best levels of graduate employment in the UK – in fact, we are 1st in Scotland for the proportion of graduates entering high skilled employment (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020).
With over 16,000 students and 3,000 staff representing around 150 different countries across the world, the University of Dundee is a truly global institution.
The University has a range of undergraduate scholarships designed to help and support students, including the Global Excellence scholarship which awards up to £6,000 each academic year to the most inspiring international applicants.

Student accommodation at Dundee is made up of around 250 self-contained flats, each with a shared kitchen and dining space and single occupancy bedrooms, complete with en-suite shower and toilet.
Located on the City campus, Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) offers facilities including bars, cafés, a nightclub and a convenience store. DUSA also supports over 250 student societies, ranging from politics to dancing.
The Institute of Sport and Exercise (ISE) works closely with Dundee University Sports Union, offering more than 40 sports clubs, ranging from traditional sports like netball and golf to skydiving and Ultimate Frisbee. In addition, you’ll also find a gym, exercise studio, squash courts, 25m swimming pool, sauna and tennis courts on campus.
Dundee is a safe, multicultural city, and was revealed as the most affordable place for students to live in a study by international education provider Oxford Royale in 2021. The University’s compact City campus has an ideal location in the heart of Dundee, only a five-minute walk from the city’s best bars, restaurants, shops and arts venues.
