Electrical and Electronic Engineering BEng (Hons)

As the electronics industry continues to grow worldwide, the demand for electrical and electronic engineering graduates is high.

This IET-accredited BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree course o?ers a healthy balance between theory and practice, with the aim of producing graduates who can play leading roles in industry.

We combine technical engineering with management and business skills, and cover a broad range of topics, including embedded computing, power, electrical, electronic and communications engineering.

By the time you graduate, you'll be ready for a leading role in the development of modern electrical and electronic system researching, designing, building and marketing the next generation of products. This course is also available through Network75, a combined work and study route.

Entry Requirements For This Course

Typical A-Level Offer - BCC - CDD to include Mathematics and a numerate subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Geography (this is equivalent to 104-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical Welsh BACC Offer - Pass the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Diploma with Grade C/D in the Skills Challenge Certificate and BC - CD at A Level to include Mathematics and a numerate subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography (this is equivalent to 104-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical BTEC Offer - BTEC Extended Diploma Distinction Merit Merit - Merit Merit Pass in a relevant subject which must include Maths and Engineering or Science modules (this is equivalent to 112-80 UCAS tariff points).

Typical IB Offer - Pass the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 29 overall including a score of 5 in Mathematics and one other Science subject at Higher Leve. You will also need to obtain a score of 5 or above in English at standard level.

Typical Access to HE Offer - Pass an Access to HE Diploma in Maths/Science and obtain a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points

Additional Requirements - GCSEs: The University normally requires a minimum 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English at Grade C or above, or their equivalent but consideration is given to individual circumstances
