Loughborough University is based in Leicestershire, in the East Midlands. The University dates back to 1909 and officially became a University in 1966.
The University is very well-known for their engineering and technology courses, as well as it’s sports related studies. It was named the “Sports University of the Year in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014.“ There are many sports facilities on site including an indoor athletics centre, a swimming pool, an outdoor stadium, two gyms and playing fields.
There are many different courses available at Loughborough University, and these are arranged into 10 different schools. Apart from sports and engineering, the University are home to a School of Arts, School of Business and Economics, and a School of Science.
The University is campus based, meaning students experience all aspects of student life on the University site; this includes academic, social and accommodation.
Outside of academic teaching, Loughborough University offer an excellent student experience, and are proud to have been voted England’s Best Student Experience for 6 consecutive years.
