The University of Stirling was founded in 1967 and received official university status in 2002. It is based two miles away from the city of Stirling in Scotland. The University is campus based, on 330 acres of land featuring a loch, a golf course and an 18th century castle.

Stirling offer a wide range of courses for undergraduate students and these are organised into 7 academic schools. These schools are:

  • School of Arts and Humanities
  • School of Natural Sciences
  • School of Applied Social Science
  • School of Education
  • School of Health Sciences
  • School of Sport
  • Stirling Management School

Whilst the main campus is located in Stirling, there are also a further two campuses; Highland Campus and Western Isles Campus. On campus students will find a library, pharmacy, supermarket, sports facilities, cafes and restaurants, and halls of residences.

New undergraduate students can choose to live on or off campus in one of the University’s halls of residences. Some rooms benefit from en-suite facilities however, these rooms can be more expensive.
