Anglia Ruskin University is based in the East of England with three campuses located in Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough. It received its official university status in 1992.
The University offer a wide range of courses to undergraduate students which are organised into five faculties. These faculties are:
- Lord Ashcroft International Business School
- Faculty of Arts, Law & Social Sciences
- Faculty of Health, Social care & Education
- Faculty of Medical Science
- Faculty of Science & Technology
At the Cambridge campus students can access a vast amount of facilities including lecture theatres, a mock law court, forensic science labs, a crime scene unit and a TV studio. There is also a library with computer access, a student’s union shop, a bookshop, and many social spaces.
The University ensures that its students have access to a gym at each of their campuses, with either a gym on campus or a discounted rate at the local gym. Helmore Gym (at the Cambridge campus) offers students a brand new sports facility which underwent a £100,000 refurbishment a few years ago. A student membership for this gym only costs £100 for the year.
