International Human Resource Management PG Cert

Human resources professionals must be able to adapt their approach to individuals while considering the broader strategy of hiring, firing and managing employment across the entire organisation.

On this postgraduate short course, you will explore the key factors and considerations around strategic development and recruitment goals. This will enable you to deliver effective and efficient human resource management within your company.

You will also have the option to tailor your studies according to your interests and career goals, delving into topics such as:

  • how national and international contexts shape diversity policies and practices within organisations
  • the significance of leadership and management development, including how to identify candidates for management roles and the importance of ongoing support for developing leaders
  • the varying models and theoretical frameworks that can be adopted to successfully deliver mentoring and coaching
  • the significance of the internal and external environmental contexts in which human resources and people management operate

Alongside the specialist knowledge you gain, you will also improve your skills in communication, critical thinking and research. At the end of your course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a Postgraduate Diploma or the full Masters.

Entry Requirements For This Course

We know that many people from non-traditional backgrounds would succeed on our courses! That's why we offer two different entry routes, taking into account your prior work experience and relevant qualifications. You will also need to meet our English language requirements.

Additionally, you will need to pass your first assignment set within your two-week induction period of the course in order to continue with your studies.

Academic entry route

In order to satisfy the academic entry route requirements for our PG Cert International Human Resource Management, as a minimum you must have an undergraduate degree from an approved institution, equivalent to a UK Honours degree, or a relevant professional qualification.

Work experience entry route

In order to satisfy the work experience entry route requirements for our PG Cert International Human Resource Management, as a minimum you must have at least three years’ relevant work experience.

English language requirements

As our courses are delivered in English, a high proficiency with English is required. If English is not your first language, your English ability should be equivalent to an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0. Don't worry if you don't hold an IELTS or equivalent qualification - we offer a free online English test to assess your proficiency.

You don't need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in, any of these countries.
