The University of Winchester is based in Winchester, Hampshire and received its official university status in 2008 making it a new public university. The University has two main campuses; King Alfred Campus and West Downs.
Students can choose from a wide variety of courses at Winchester, offered by the University's four faculties. These faculties are:

- Faculty of Business, Law & Sport
- Faculty of Education, Health & Social Care
- Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences
At the University students will find a range of facilities and will also benefit from the sports amenities including the new University gym. It offers memberships from £23, giving students access to the cardio area, stretching zone and weight training space. On site students will also find sports halls, an athletics track, and the Winchester Sports Stadium.
Winchester offer a wide range of room types at their halls of residence including catered accommodation and en suite rooms. Students also have the option of living on campus, in the student village or off campus in university run housing. Prices for a full year of accommodation generally range from £4,500 to £11,000 depending on the facilities you opt for.
