St Mary’s University is based in Twickenham, South West London and was originally founded in 1850. Today it has a league table ranking of 100 according to the Guardian 2016 University League Tables.
The University boasts over 6,300 students and offers a range of academic courses, including creative and professional writing, geography, health and exercise science, physics and law. Courses are divided into four schools;
The four schools are;
- School of Arts and Humanities
- School of Education, Theology and Leadership
- School of Management and Social Sciences
- School of Sport, Health and Applied Science
St Mary’s University has an active student’s union with over 40 clubs and societies, events hall and bar in its very own building. Furthermore, there are events held throughout the academic year and support available for all students.
The University is well known for its sports excellence with Olympic athletes among its alumni. St Mary’s is home to many state of the art sports facilities including a running track, sports hall, and a strength and conditioning suite. Many students participate in national sporting events, as well as social sports clubs.
St Mary’s University offers halls of residence to undergraduates. Various accommodation from shared rooms to those with en-suite facilities are available for students. Prices suit varying budgets with costs starting from £4258 per annum for a small twin room to £6922 per annum for an en-suite single room on a 37 week contract.
