The University of Bedfordshire was established in 1882 and now has 5 campuses across the UK. The University has a league table ranking of 98 according to the Guardian University League Tables 2016, climbing 17 places on the previous year.
The University has almost 18,000 students enrolled on a range of courses, such as accounting and finance, English studies, computer science and marketing. There are four main faculties;
- University of Bedfordshire Business School
- Faculty of Creative Arts, Technologies and Science
- Faculty of Education and Sport
- Faculty of Health and Social Sciences
The students union at the University of Bedfordshire features three bars, hosts regular events and offers guidance to students. Furthermore, there are several clubs and societies to participate in.
Sport is a major aspect of the University of Bedfordshire with facilities including a newly built fitness suite, sports science labs, AstroTurf, a sports arena, playing fields and a sports hall, as well as a sports venue dedicated to activities such as swimming and dance.
The University guarantees accommodation to all new first year undergraduates, with an assortment of rooms available. Prices range from £97 per week for a single room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities to £156 per week for en-suite accommodation in a studio (on a 50 week contract).
