The University of Lincoln is based just outside the city centre of Lincoln, and has an award winning campus on the Brayford Pool marina. In the National Students Survey 2014, Lincoln was proud to have been named the third top University nationally for student satisfaction.
The University is split into 3 colleges, which are further split into 19 different schools, each belonging to the relevant colleges. These 3 colleges are:
- College of Arts
- College of Science
- College of Social Science
On the University Campus, students can find the student village’s waterside accommodation, sports facilities, student support, the Great Central Warehouse Library as well as academic buildings. There are also 2 student social venues on site; The Engine Shed and The Tower Bars. Both are lively venues, with The Engine Shed being the home to the weekly student parties and club nights. Acts such as Kings of Leon, Florence and the Machine and Professor Green have played at The Engine Shed. The Tower Bars is the Student’s Union Bar, hosting sports screenings, pub quizzes and serving food throughout the day.
Those interested in sport can find the Sports and Recreation Centre on campus, with a double sports hall, courts for racket sports, outdoor pitches, and also a dance studio.
