The University of St Andrews was founded in the early 1400’s, and is a top ranking university in the UK. There are currently 7,775 students enrolled at the University, with over a third of students coming from overseas, making up a very diverse student body.
The University is split into four different faculties:
- Arts
- Divinity
- Medicine
- Science
The University consists of three colleges, each responsible for certain faculties; United College for all students in Arts, Science and Medicine, St Mary’s College for all students in Divinity, and St Leonard’s College for all postgraduate students.
There have been many notable alumni from the University of St Andrews, with the likes of Royals, Will and Kate, and Olympic Gold Medalist Chris Hoy.
