Games Design BA (Hons)

Our BA (Hons) Games Design encompasses the creative and technical aspects of designing interactive and immersive game experiences. It focuses on crafting engaging gameplay elements, creating levels and challenges, and developing compelling narratives.

Games designers collaborate with concept artists, games artists, writers, and musicians to bring their vision to life. They consider player psychology, user experience, and game mechanics, refining their designs based on feedback. Games design utilises specialised software and tools to prototype and visualise game concepts. This course provides a platform to combine creativity and technical expertise and to collaborate with a vibrant community of diverse creatives.

Entry Requirements For This Course

Leeds Arts University encourages applications from talented and motivated students. The University uses a wide range of methods to assess applications, these can include:

  • digital auditions or interview

If you are successful in your application an offer will be made to you, if conditional we will ask for between 104 and 120 UCAS tariff points from any combination of A Levels/T Level/Extended Diploma/Foundation Diploma. The expected subjects will depend on the course you are applying for.

All applicants must have GCSE English Language or Literature at Grade 4/Grade C or above, or English Functional Skills Level 2 at Pass.

Applicants for this course do not need to submit examples of work.
