Newman University, Birmingham dates back to 1968 when it was named the Newman College of Higher Education. The university changed its name and received its official university status in 2013. The institution is based just outside of Birmingham in Bartley Green. In 2015 the university was ranked in the top 20 for student satisfaction by the Times University Guide.
The institution offers a range of different undergraduate full-time courses covering many subject areas including:

The university has its own sports centre which is located in the Edwards Building on the main university campus. The cardio suite and sports performance suite have both been recently renovated to include 16 cardio machines and 11 resistance machines. There is also a range of free-weights and a matted area for stretching.
For first year undergraduate students, Newman University have one halls of residence based on campus with some rooms being en-suite. There is a total of 200 rooms priced between £3,800 and £5,000 per academic year. All rooms are self catering, with a shared kitchen between groups of students.
