Sheffield Hallam University is located in South Yorkshire and dates back to as early as 1843. The university is the fourth largest in the UK with over 33,000 students located at their two campuses in Sheffield. The main campus is based in the city centre, with the second being based two miles away in south-west Sheffield.
The university provides a range of courses that are organised into four faculties. These faculties are:

The university has most recently been ranked 74th in the Guardian University League Tables 2016, and the institution is consistently ranked highly for individual subjects such as architecture and geography.
The students union encourage students to join societies in their first year as they are a great way to meet new people with similar interests. There are over 40 societies to choose from at Sheffield Hallam including the likes of cheerleading, rock music and sports clubs.
