Law Accelerated Route LLB (Hons)

Would you like to get ahead of the game in the competitive field of law? The University of South Wales is the only higher education institution in South Wales that offers the opportunity to achieve an LLB (Hons) degree after just two years full-time study.

University of South Wales is a Top 50 Law School, according to Guardian League Tables, and prides itself on its excellent teaching and student support.

The LLB (Hons) Law Accelerated Route course has been designed for graduates of other disciplines, or those who have successfully completed an HND or one year of study at university.

It's a qualifying law degree for the purpose of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and The Bar Council. So you could opt to progress onto the Legal Practice Course if you want to be a solicitor, or the Bar Professional Training Course if you want to be a barrister.

Entry Requirements For This Course

A degree, an HND, or a minimum of successful completion of 120 higher education credits at level 4 (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate programme) in any subject.

International students are required to have equivalent qualifications to those above and also have an IELTS overall score of 6.0 achieving a minimum score of 6.0 in the reading and writing element of the test.

Please note that whilst this course does not require a DBS Check for entry, some professions will not consider candidates who have certain types of criminal convictions. Therefore, if you have a criminal conviction and you are considering a particular career path we would recommend that you check with the relevant professional body or refer to their recruitment policy to make sure that your conviction will not disadvantage you.
