Entry Requirements For This Course

A levels - To include AS-level Maths or Physics.

BTEC Extended Diploma - BTEC Level 3 (2010-2016):

MMP in any Engineering subject to include ‘Mathematics for Engineering Technicians’ (Unit 4) at Merit.

MMP in Construction and the Built Environment to include the ‘Mathematics in Construction and the Built Environment’ (Unit 3) at Merit.

MMP in Applied Science - the following units must be taken:

Mathematical Calculations for Science

Using Statistics in Science

Energy changes, sources and applications

Electrical circuits and their applications

Plus at least one from:

Chemical periodicity and its applications

Chemical laboratory techniques

Industrial chemical reactions

BTEC Nationals Level 3 (from 2016):

MMP in any Engineering subject to include ‘Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems’ (Unit 7) at Merit.

Applied Science not acceptable.

Applicants on Access Programmes - Not accepted.

International Baccalaureate requirements - 88 UCAS tariff points to include SL Maths at grade 5. Plus HL 3 or SL 4 in Maths and English Language and Literature A or English B.

Plus minimum of - GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or 4 (equivalents accepted).
