Abertay University is located in Dundee, Scotland, and was established in 1888. It took its official name in 1994 and today has a league table ranking of 93 according to the Guardian University League Tables 2016.
Almost 5,000 students are enrolled at the University on a variety of academic courses, including business management, computer arts, sociology, forensic sciences and criminology. Abertay University is divided into four schools.
The four schools are;
- School of Arts, Media and Computer Games
- School of Science, Engineering and Technology
- Dundee Business School
- School of Social and Health Sciences
Abertay University has an active student’s union with a range of clubs and societies to partake in, such as snow sports, rugby, football and boxing.
The University offers exercise classes and gym memberships to all students with many sporting events taking place throughout the year.
Abertay University provides halls of residence with various accommodation from student flats to en-suite rooms available for first year undergraduates. Costs suit varying budgets with prices starting from £59.00 per week for a twin/double room to £106.65 per week for a bedsit on a 51 week contract.
