Game Development (Design) MA

Studying this design-focused masters in Game Development will prepare you for a range of exciting opportunities in the industry. Recent graduates have progressed to roles like designer, programmer, software engineer and more.

Our PlayStation First partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment will give you the chance to develop games for the PlayStation 5.

Our insight hub, known as inKUbator, will give you opportunities to learn directly from the industry. Previous speakers have included Sony, Splash Damage, Aardvark Swift, Interactive Selection, CryTek and Unity.

Entry Requirements For This Course

The typical offer for this course is a 2:2 or above honours degree in humanities, art and design, multimedia, media production. We also accept equivalent qualifications. 

You’ll also need to demonstrate a solid understanding of digital media. You could do this through your qualifications, or through a portfolio.

If you don’t have a first degree but do have five years’ professional experience and a strong portfolio of work, we’ll consider your application individually. You’ll need to show strong motivation to work at this level and complete the course.
