Renewable Energy Engineering MSc

Our Renewable Energy Engineering MSc will give you a strong theoretical knowledge base of essential topics like solar and wind power, hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. You’ll also delve into the business and management side of renewable energy.

Building on this foundation, you’ll gain hands-on experience using advanced tools to test and optimise real-world renewable energy systems. This all takes place in our Renewable Energy Lab. From solar thermal applications to wind power plants, you’ll build the practical skills essential for a variety of careers in the renewable energy sector.

But it doesn’t stop there – alongside lab-based learning, you’ll also develop expertise in the most widely used software in the industry. You’ll work with Polysun for solar PV and heating system design, and windPRO for wind farm planning.

You’ll also use GaBi for life cycle assessment, and powerful engineering tools like Ansys, SolidWorks and Siemens NX. By combining practical experience with software proficiency, you’ll graduate prepared to excel in any renewable energy career path.
