Norwich University of the Arts

Norwich University of the Arts was founded in 1845 and received university status in 2013. It is a university specialised in art, design and media courses.

The University campus is based in the city centre and comprises of seven academic buildings. Facilities on site include an IT suite with Apple Mac and Windows, printing rooms, wood workshops, animation studios, fashion workshops, illustration studios and a library.

They have 16 undergraduate courses and 9 postgraduate courses available with a range of course titles such as:

  • Interior design
  • Fashion communication and promotion
  • Games development
  • Interaction design

There are currently three halls of student residences for first year students; All Saints Green, Beechcroft Complex and Harvard Court. The Student’s Union is based on Duke Street and looks after student experiences, support and activities.

Some notable alumni from the Norwich University of the Arts includes Brian Bolland (Comic artist on Batman: The Killing Joke), Keith Chapman (Creator of Bob the Builder), and Stuart Craig (production designer on the Harry Potter film series).
