The MA in History allows you to traverse fascinatingly different periods of history, from the Middle Ages onwards.

You can study British, European, American or Asian History, supported by the diverse expertise of historians working at Swansea University.

Additional modules cover the history of art and culture, empire, gender, politics, religion, sexuality and science.

You will benefit from a high concentration of historians at Swansea, as well as the wider presence of the University's Research Centres, the Callaghan Centre for the Study of Conflict, Power and Empires, and the Richard Burton Centre.

Entry Requirements For This Course

The typical entry requirement is a first degree in History or a relevant discipline, normally an upper second or above or equivalent. Overseas students are expected to possess an IELTS score of 6.5.
