Kent is known for the quality of its teaching and for the interdisciplinary nature of its programmes and research. We understand that postgraduate students need flexibility, so many of our taught and all of our  research degrees  offer September or January starts. We also offer distance-learning options and  short courses  .

The University of Kent offers  postgraduate study  both in the UK and at its specialist centres in Brussels and Paris. Students can study for postgraduate certificates, master's or a PhD – and some programmes are available through distance learning. The University has a multi-million postgraduate scholarship fund and a vibrant Graduate School

These include  taught and research student scholarships  , location-specific awards, sport and music scholarships, and funding specifically for students who pay overseas fees. We also have doctoral training partnerships with several bodies, which give you access to a range of funding, these include the UK Research Councils.

Postgraduate study is offered at our UK campuses in Canterbury and  Medway, both within easy reach of London, as well as at our specialist European centres  : the Brussels School of International Studies and the Paris School of Arts and Culture.
