Overview

This course provides an overview of the principles and practice of contemporary mental health approaches focusing on the core knowledge, skills and values in supporting children and young people with mental health challenges.

It demonstrates how theories, concepts and up-to-date evidence derived from mental health, social science and related fields can enhance the delivery of care and education for this overlooked group. There is a clear focus on providing the practitioner with practical skills to enhance service delivery and improve the service experience for the young people concerned.

Entry Requirements For This Course

Applicants should have a Level 6 qualification in a relevant subject area.  Applicants without a Level 6 qualification will be considered on an individual basis, considering relevant experience and academic achievement

English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.
