The University of West London (UWL) is known as the ‘career university’ due its exceptionally high graduate employment rate and close connections with top industry employers. It has been ranked the city’s best modern non-specialist university (Complete University Guide, 2025), and is number one in London for student satisfaction (National Student Survey, 2024).

Curricula incorporate both theoretical knowledge and practical learning opportunities, with all postgraduate courses at UWL specifically designed to enable students to thrive in successful careers across industry and academia.

Postgraduate students also have exclusive access to Rami Ranger House, a student centre which promotes research and discussion within the postgraduate community.

Study and research are divided across UWL’s three campuses. The Ealing and Brentford sites are well-served by public transport and a free shuttle bus service runs between the two. Nursing and midwifery courses are based at the Berkshire Institute for Health, in Reading, just a short train journey from London.

UWL offers a broad selection of postgraduate study programmes, with 89 taught courses and a range of research degrees on offer.
