Entry requirements
This masters course is designed to provide a Masters degree for:
- Graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC), where sufficient study has been completed equivalent to 120 credit modules, within the last five years.
- Graduates of the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) (formerly the Bar Vocational Course), where sufficient study has been completed equivalent to 120 credit modules, within the last five years.
- Practising solicitors who have undertaken the former Law Society's Solicitors' Final Examinations and have at least 6 months recent practice experience within the last two years.
- Practising barristers who have undertaken the former Bar Final examinations and have at least 6 months recent practice experience within the last two years.
- Foreign qualified lawyers admitted to practice in England or Wales and have at least six months recent practice experience within the last two years.
International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.5 or above, and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
