Situated in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Queen Margaret University was established in 1875 as the Edinburgh School of Cookery. Today, it has a current league table ranking of 76.
The University boasts over 6,000 students and offers a variety of courses, including theatre and film studies, nutrition, events management and nursing. Courses are divided into two main schools.
The two schools are;
- The School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management
- The School of Health Sciences
Queen Margaret University features a student’s union offering support, advice, entertainment and volunteer opportunities. There are a range of societies to join, such as writing, cheerleading, photography and musical theatre.
With many sports clubs to become involved in, Queen Margaret University offers football, hockey, netball, tennis and rugby. Facilities include a weightlifting suite, fitness studio, astroturf and sports hall.
The University offers 800 accommodation places for first year undergraduates. The student village offers various rooms from standard rooms with en-suite facilities to premium rooms that are extra spacious. Prices suit diverse budgets with prices starting from £99 per week for standard accommodation to £116 per week for a premium room.
