Halls of residence

Derby's halls of residence are owned and run by the University so you can be sure of good quality accommodation - a real home from home. Our award-winning halls are the ideal place for you to live during your time at University and the good news is that you can live in halls throughout your studies if you want to.

Most first-year students live in halls. They're just a short walk from our campuses and a great place to make friends and settle into University life. Halls offer you safe, good-value accommodation in convenient locations with some added extras, like an awesome events programme and weekly cleaning service.

If you're interested in living in halls, take a look at the photo galleries and 360-degree tours on our halls pages to get a better idea of what's on offer. Better still, come to an Open Day to take an accommodation tour and speak to Student Living staff who will be able to answer your questions and give you guidance and advice.
