Entry Requirements For This Course
Applicants from a UK educational background:You should have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
Examples of vocational qualifications are:
- BTEC/National Diploma
- CACHE Level 3 diploma
- Advanced and Progression Diplomas
- Access courses
- NVQ Level 3.
GCSE English language with a minimum of grade C or recognised equivalent is also required.

Applicants from a non-UK educational background:You should have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant vocational subject.
Applicants must have successfully completed 11 or 12 years of full time education.
If you were educated in a language other than English and/or in a country where English speakers are in a minority, you should have a minimum IELTS score of 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill) or equivalent. If you require a Tier 4 (General) student visa to study in the UK, your score must be from a UK Visas and Immigration approved IELTS test.

In additionCandidates will be required to:
- Undertake selection tests and an interview (full time mode)
- Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check and occupational health screening (full time mode)
- For the distance learning mode, you must be teaching/training for at least 100 hours over the course of the programme and have the support of a mentor who teaches your subject (or related subject). If you are already in work-based training, your mentor should have at least three years' experience and provide a CV and a letter from their institution.
