The University of the Arts London dates back to 1986 and today has a university ranking of 44 in the Guardian University League Tables. The University operates the ERASMUS programme, enabling UK undergraduate students to take part in a study abroad exchange from 3 months to a full academic year.

The University has 6 core sites in the City of London, each offering different courses and subject areas. These are:

  • Camberwell College of Arts: Fine art, design and conservation
  • Central Saint Martins: art and design education
  • London College of Communication: design and media education
  • Chelsea College of Arts: fine arts, graphic design communication, interior/spatial design and textile design
  • London College of Fashion: fashion education, research and consultancy
  • Wimbledon College of Arts: fine art and theatre screen/ design

The University has 11 halls of residences based around London for first year students, and a further 2 halls are due to open in September 2015; one in Elephant and Castle and one in Finsbury Park. Students can expect to spend between £102 and £273 per week on accommodation, depending on location and room facilities.
