Aerospace Engineering MEng (Hons)

The MSc in Aerospace Engineering provides a rigorous and systematic understanding of the field, equipping you with the critical awareness and insight required to become a credible aerospace engineer.

You will be prepared in the theory and operation of aeronautical vehicles, from propeller-driven and jet-powered planes, to helicopters and gliders. This covers design, analysis, testing and flight.

Practical experience will be partly gained through your access to one of the world’s most advanced engineering flight simulators housed within Engineering.

Usually entry requirements for the MSc Aerospace Engineering course are a first or a second class honours degree in Engineering, or similar relevant science discipline. You will also need to have an overall mark of at least 55%. However, performance in key modules will also be considered.

If English is not your first language, you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification to make sure you get the full benefit from studying at Swansea. We consider a wide range of qualifications, including the Swansea University English Test, the British Council IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.5 and 5.5 in each component).
