University of Wales Trinity Saint David

UG Trinity Saint David was established in 2010, when the University of Wales and Trinity University College merged to form one institution. More recently, in 2013, the university also merged with the Swansea Metropolitan University. Today the university has three campuses based in South West Wales; in Carmarthen, Lampeter, and Swansea.

The university offers a wide range of courses that belong to their 5 faculties. These faculties are:

  • Faculty of Arts and Social Studies
  • Faculty of Applied Design and Engineering
  • Faculty of Education and Training
  • Faculty of Art and Design
  • Faculty of Humanities

Trinity Saint David is involved in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) league, which takes places every Wednesday afternoon. The sports teams compete against other institutions to become the BUCS champions. If you aren't into sports you can explore other interests by joining societies run by the students union, TSDSU.

If you are planning on living on campus you can get a room on campus at halls in both the Lampeter and Carmarthen campuses. These provide enough rooms for 600 students at each site, with a range of room types available. The Swansea campus also has five halls of residences, however, these are not on campus and house around 300 students. There are also further approved residences throughout the city centre.
